Brook Venture Closes Acquisition of Member Benefits, Inc.

Wakefield, MA  – Brook Venture Partners announced today that it has recently closed on the acquisition of Member Benefits Inc., a New Hampshire-based firm providing membership acquisition, retention and loyalty marketing services to non-profit clients. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Member Benefits provides the MemberCard^TM program with benefits including retail discounts, dining discounts, and discounts to cultural venues. Public media and non-profit clients can purchase the MemberCard^TM to assist in their membership marketing activities. The company’s merchant base consists of more than 12,000 providers including over 7,000 restaurants directly under contract with the Company making it one of the largest dining membership programs in the United States. The Company is a leading provider of benefit card programs to the public media industry with over 115 Public Radio and TV broadcasters using the program currently. The Company has announced that Jim Dowe, the recently retired CEO of Maine Public Broadcasting, has joined the Company’s Board of Directors along with CEO Jim Buchanan, President Jonathan Sack and Brook Partners Walter Beinecke and Ned Williams.
