Brook Announces Sale of RKD Group to BV Investment Partners

Wakefield, MA – February 4, 2019 – Brook Venture Partners today announced the completion of the sale of its majority stake in RKD Group, LLC, a market-leading provider of omnichannel fundraising and communication services in the nonprofit sector to BV Investment Partners of Boston, MA.

RKD Group has raised billions of dollars for its clients and currently serves over 260 nonprofit organizations. Nonprofits rely on RKD’s data-driven, omnichannel solutions to generate net revenue, accelerate growth, build long-term donor relationships, and drive online and offline donor engagement.

Brook Venture Partners’ Brook Fund III was the majority stakeholder in the Company from June 2011 until the sale on January 30, 2019; during its ownership Brook originated and financed two key acquisitions. The acquisition of Kersten Direct in April 2014 brought onboard one of the leading digital marketing and data analytics providers in the industry. In September 2015 the acquisition of Alpha Dog Marketing materially expanded the Company’s presence in the Food Bank and Animal Care sectors.
