Brook Analysts compete in the Cranberry Triathlon for The Epiphany School

Brook Analysts, Ollie Spalding, Eli Sevigny, and Don DeVito, competed in the Cranberry Triathlon based out of Lakeville, MA on Sunday, raising money for The Epiphany School of Dorchester, MA. The race consisted of a 1 mile swim, a 26 mile bike ride, and a 6.5 mile run. Ollie finished the race in 2:40, Don completed it in 2:45, and Eli completed it in 2:56, all under their goal of 3 hours.

The Epiphany School is a privately-funded middle school for children of economically disadvantaged families from Boston neighborhoods. 71% of students come from single-parent households and 30% of students are involved with the Department of Children and Families because of abuse or neglect. The Epiphany School is distinguished by their “full-service” program which provides its students with both a rigorous academic program in addition to offering services such as dental care, vision screenings, and daily meals and snacks. As a volunteer at The Epiphany School, Ollie emphasized the impact that the school has on its students, “Due to the school’s small class sizes and structured environment, the students are able to receive individualized attention in order to help meet their academic and personal goals.”

Don DeVito and Eli Sevigny added, “When the opportunity arose to not only represent Brook Venture but also to contribute to a cause much greater than the race itself, we decided to take part of the opportunity to give back. We look forward to making this an annual tradition for continued support to great charitable missions.”
