The investment team consists of 18 investment professionals. Each member of our team brings different skills, foremost being our experience as investors in venture stage companies and working through everything from recruiting technical talent to executing acquisitions.
Walter is passionate about supporting and partnering with management teams. He serves as the Chairman of LW Robbins, a leading fundraising firm for non-profits, he chairs the Board of Member Benefits, a loyalty marketing company, and also chairs the Board of Medical Mastermind, Inc, a provider of healthcare IT solutions. He is an enthusiastic advocate for effective governance and serves as a Director on the boards of Really Strategies, Inc, a content management solutions company; and Relevate, Inc, a marketing data and analytics company.
Prior to joining the venture field, Walter had a 20 year career as an operating executive. He has served as CEO, President and/or EVP of seed and expansion stage companies from inception to over $50 million/year in revenue. At Brook he offers portfolio companies counsel and mentoring in sales, business development, and overall strategy based on his operating background. He specializes in helping Brook companies implement sales & marketing strategies that accelerate predictable revenue growth.Outside the office

Frederic H. Morris
Fred Morris offers our portfolio companies experienced guidance on accelerating growth in the midst of fast-paced change. With more than 35 years of involvement in expansion issues from an investor, lender, and executive point-of-view, Fred supports entrepreneurs by helping them build effective sales organizations and navigate complex management and financial decisions.
Fred developed his distinctive leadership perspective through a career in commercial banking as well as service in the U.S. Navy. Following graduation from Yale with a degree in economics, he joined the Reserve Officer Training Corps during the Vietnam War and quickly earned “Officer of the Deck” certification and Lieutenant ranking.
Upon completing his Navy service, he earned an MBA with a concentration in finance from Harvard Business School and entered banking, where he established a reputation for leading high-growth commercial lending units at the Northeast’s leading institutions. His business development success at First National City Bank (now Citibank) and U.S. Trust Company in New York caught the attention of Boston’s State Street Bank & Trust Company in 1978. There, as a Senior Vice President and member of the Management Committee, he formed a specialized lending division with a focus on media/cash flow lending. He rapidly grew the division to $500 million, including a number of mezzanine investments. He then focused on new ventures within State Street, eventually directing all new product development.
In his role as partner, Fred’s experience in hiring and managing sales organizations with the capability to drive rapid growth creates value for entrepreneurs, their boards, and our investors. He has served in board roles for more than a dozen portfolio companies, with current Director positions at Atlas Watersystems, Inc.; Bioscan, Inc.; HistoRx, Inc., Laser Production Technologies, Inc.; Verge Solutions, LLC; PointCare Technologies, Inc.; Security Innovations, Inc.; and Telematch, Inc. He applies his expertise as an active member of their compensation, audit, sales and marketing committees.
Although raised on Long Island, Fred’s New England roots trace back to his education at St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH. He currently serves in leadership roles at several organizations that foster the region’s economic growth: he is a Director on the board of Boston’s North Shore Technology Council, the North Shore Innoventure Center, and the Connecticut Venture Group.
Outside the office
Fred and his wife enjoy time with their two adult children and young grandson. Fred also takes advantage of New England’s natural assets in all seasons, including upland game shooting with his three English setters, skiing, and golf. An avid sailor, he serves as Treasurer of the Manchester Yacht Club.
Edward C. Williams, III
Over the past 22 years, Ned has raised and invested hundreds of millions of dollars generating billions of dollars in shareholder value. Here at Brook Venture, Ned draws from his corporate finance & sales and marketing experience to guide our portfolio companies through strategic growth to maximize both revenue generation and stakeholder value.
He began his career at First Winthrop Corporation as a member of firms syndicate group. Within 18 months of his hire, his fundraising results earned him a promotion to Vice President and the distinction of becoming the youngest person in the firm’s history to secure that title. As VP, he managed an investor base with assets in excess of three billion dollars, and designed, implemented, and directed his team to execute a national sales and marketing strategy that yielded a 400% increase in syndicate production.
Ned then moved into corporate finance, where his sales and marketing expertise helped entrepreneurs and investors benefit from some of the technology industry’s most recognized success stories. During his tenure at Morgan Stanley’s New York City operations in the mid-1990s, he was involved in the marketing of more than 25 IPOs, including Netscape and the spinout of Lucent Technologies from AT&T.
In addition, Ned worked directly with founders and entrepreneurs, helping them hedge their equity exposure post-merger or sale. Ned returned to Boston’s private equity and venture capital industry as a Managing Director at Saturn Asset Management, where he completed seven rounds of financing totaling over $35 million for five portfolio companies. There, he provided the first venture financing into Roving Software (now Constant Contact, CTCT) and FreeMarkets Online (now Ariba, ARBA).
At Brook Venture, Ned has driven the organization’s growth by leading the fundraising for our Brook II & IIA fund. As lead partner on the boards of Texterity, Inc., Wandrian, Inc., SilverRail Technology, Certica Solutions Inc., BabyAge, Arigo, and DataMentors he champions our stakeholders’ interests by helping our portfolio companies accelerate revenue growth and position their business for optimal returns.
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts and Kents Hill preparatory School in Maine, Ned enjoys contributing to the growth of New England’s innovation economy. He is a Director and steering committee member of The Massachusetts Medical Device Development Center, is Executive Committee member of the University of Massachusetts Technology Advisory Council, and is a former member of the Executive Committee of the Northeast Regional Association of Small Business Investment Companies (NERASBIC). Additionally Ned is on the board of his local Little League association.Outside the office
Ned is an avid sportsman, who enjoys skiing upland game shooting, fly fishing, and cycling, and coaching his kids’ athletic teams.
As a Principal at Brook, Brennan leads new investments working with companies that have a proven business model and are looking to accelerate growth through enhanced sales and marketing. He focuses on investments in Healthcare Information Technology, B2B Software, and Tech-Enabled Services.
Brennan serves on the Board of Directors of Medicine-On-Time and is a board participant with seven Brook portfolio companies. He is also involved across the Brook Venture portfolio in evaluating acquisitions and developing organic growth strategies. Brennan is passionate about helping entrepreneurs build an effective team and detailed plan to capture rapid growth.
Brennan earned his BA in Finance from the University of Rochester in three years and holds an MBA from the Simon School of Business. While in business school he spent time with the Rochester Angel Network evaluating deals in the medical technology space.Outside the office
Brennan enjoys the outdoors and is an avid traveler, outside of the office he can be found snowboarding, hiking, or pursuing the latest adventure sport. Brennan is a strong advocate for giving back to the community, and co-founded originalstandard.org a small Boston based non-profit.
Jonathan Green serves as Managing Director, focusing on deal origination and investor relations at Brook since 2004. Previously he was Vice President of Investor Relations for Boston American Asset Management, Inc. where he launched the firm’s second fund, doubling assets under management. Prior to that he was with Vestcom New England where he raised more than $12 million. Previously he founded or turned around various technology firms including Crestec Los Angeles, Inc., Aurora Graphics, and Touchmark, Inc. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the Whittemore School of Business at the University of New Hampshire.Outside the office
Outside of Brook Venture, Jonathan is an accomplished yachtsman, winning many single and double handed distance events in the North Atlantic over the last eight seasons. Through the winter he spends his free time hiking and skiing the White and Rocky Mountains.
As Portfolio CFO at Brook, Kyle works very closely with several of our portfolio companies to manage their financial reporting, analysis, and planning. He is also engaged in evaluating strategic acquisition opportunities for these companies as they arise.
Prior to joining Brook, Kyle held financial management positions at Travelers and Kodak. In these roles he was focused on financial planning and analysis, as well as reporting at both the corporate and business unit levels. Kyle received his MBA from the Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester, completing concentrations in Finance and Corporate Accounting. He earned his BS in Corporate Finance from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY, where he graduated summa cum laude.Outside the office

Director, Finance & Operations
As the Director of Finance and Operations, Jenn focuses on many detailed finance and operational duties including the preparation of financials statements and budgets, fund and limited partner reporting, annual audits, human resources, and investor relations. Prior to working at Brook, Jenn served as a healthcare consultant for a management consulting firm. Jenn is a graduate of UMASS Boston with a BA in Psychology.Outside the office

Nichole manages Brook Venture Fund II’s accounting and operations. Nichole’s expertise, integrity, and focus on continual improvement provide significant value to our firm.
Nichole is a graduate of Salem State College, where she earned a BS in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration. After serving as a staff accountant for S. Mullen & Associates, she joined Brook in 2004 as the Manager of Administration & Finance. Nichole then went on to earn her MBA from Endicott College. Currently, Nichole’s scope of responsibilities include the preparation of financial statements for our SBIC; fulfilling our compliance requirements and regulatory reporting with the SBA; and overseeing annual audits of the SBIC and the SBA’s annual examinations.Outside the office

Senior Financial Analyst
As a Senior Financial Analyst at Brook, Ryan works closely with several of our portfolio companies to help with their financial reporting, analysis and planning. He also assists in evaluating strategic acquisition opportunities for our portfolio companies as they arise.
Ryan received his MBA from Boston College with a specialization in Corporate Finance. He earned his BA in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University. After college, Ryan spent two years playing basketball professionally in Italy and Poland. Prior to Brook, Ryan worked as a Financial Analyst at CSM Corporation, a Minneapolis based Real Estate Acquisition Company.Outside the office

Senior Financial Analyst
As a Senior Financial Analyst at Brook, Amit works closely with several of our portfolio companies to help with their financial reporting, analysis, and planning. He also assists in evaluating strategic acquisition opportunities for our portfolio companies as they arise.
Academically, Amit has received his BA from Bentley University, his MBA from the University of Rochester, and has completed all three levels of the CFA exam. Professionally, he has held corporate finance positions at Liberty Mutual, Constellation Brands, and Remy Cointreau, with responsibilities primarily focused in FP&A and Corporate Development.Outside the office

As an Analyst, Oliver is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing new investments as well as supporting Brook’s existing portfolio. Oliver graduated magna cum laude from Wake Forest University with concentrations in economics and entrepreneurship. While at school, Oliver pursued his interest in supporting entrepreneurs by working with various campus start-ups and spending 6 months in Nicaragua kick-starting a microfinance initiative. Prior to joining Brook, Oliver worked in the investment banking division of Deloitte performing M&A advisory.Outside the office

Vice President of Investor Relations
Steven Williamson serves as Vice President of Investor Relations at Brook. Steven builds and fosters new relationships with institutional investors and family offices. He obtains a deep understanding of investor needs and due diligence processes prior to recommending the most optimal investment solutions. Prior to Brook, Steve raised capital for a number of venture capital and private equity firms as a third party marketer.
Steven received his MBA from Babson College, completing a concentration in Entrepreneurship. He earned his BA in Business Management at the Jack Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University.

Outside of Brook, Steven enjoys skiing, golf and travel.
As an analyst at Brook Venture, Cameron is responsible for new deal origination and oversees the sourcing, evaluation and execution of new investments for Brooks active funds. Cameron focuses on identifying untapped markets with extraordinary growth opportunities and actively engages with company executives to discuss sales, marketing and strategic value. Cameron also identifies accretive merger and acquisition opportunities for Brook’s existing portfolio companies through financial analysis and market research.
Cameron earned a BA in Economics from University of Colorado. While in school, Cameron had the opportunity to blend his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for skiing by working at an action sports media production group. Prior to joining Brook, Cameron began his career in Sales and Marketing.Outside the office

As an administrative assistant, Carol provides executive-level support to the Partners at Brook. In addition, Carol works closely with the Director of Finance and Operations to assist with detailed accounting tasks and maintain the day-to-day operations of the office.
Carol earned her BA from Gordon College and spent three years working as an office manager at an investment advisory firm. Prior to joining Brook, Carol worked in the finance and accounting division of a national non-profit organization.Outside the office

As an analyst at Brook Venture, Eli is responsible for working with Brook’s existing portfolio companies to pursue strategic growth initiatives through mergers and acquisitions. He performs sourcing, qualification, and evaluation of potential bolt-on acquisitions. Eli actively engages with company executives to discuss sales, technology, and strategic value.
Eli earned a BA in Economics from Syracuse University with a minor in political science. While in school, Eli participated in multiple extracurricular groups including the club lacrosse team along with the investment and economics clubs. Coming from a very entrepreneurial family, Eli has lots of exposure working with small businesses. He, alongside his older brother and sisters, was one of the founding members of a family owned and operated Christmas tree sales company in Brooklyn, NY. Prior to joining Brook, Eli worked as an investment research analyst in private wealth management.Outside the office
