Mr. Beinecke has served as CEO, President and EVP of seed and expansion stage companies from inception to $50 million/year in revenue. Prior to joining Brook, and over a 20 year period Mr. Beinecke raised over $100 million for five growth stage companies, where he played a founding and senior leadership role. Here at Brook he offers our portfolio companies counsel and mentoring in sales, business development, and overall strategy based on his 20 year operating background. He specializes in helping our companies implement sales & marketing strategies that accelerate predictable revenue growth.

Walter is a passionate advocate for effective governance. He has served on more than a dozen corporate and non-profit boards and is currently Brook Venture’s lead partner and serves on the boards of Really Strategies, Inc.; Mobile Medical Corp. and Relevate, Inc. He is the Chairman of LW Robbins, one of the leading fundraising firms for non-profits in the US and also chairs the board of Software Unlimited, Inc; both Brook portfolio companies. In these roles, he helps our portfolio companies identify and structure strategic acquisitions in support of their growth targets and guides them through exit strategies that optimize returns. He is a Director of the Northeast Regional Association of Small Business Investment Companies (NERASBIC) and is also a board member of the W.A. Wilde Corporation.

Outside of Brook Venture, Walter is an avid outdoorsman, skier, and sailor and enjoys family activities with his wife and three children. He contributes to our region’s cultural and civic life through service on several non-profit boards in New England, including roles as Director and Investment Officer of the Osceola Foundation and as a Trustee of the Osher Map Library at the University of Southern Maine. He formerly served as a Trustee of the Brookwood School in Manchester, MA.

Before joining Brook Walter served as President of RewardsNow, Inc, which provides database marketing and CRM services to debit and credit card issuers nationwide. During his tenure the company enjoyed substantial revenue growth, tripling sales during the period, and leading ultimately to a profitable exit to a venture investment firm. Prior to that Walter served as President of Affinity Marketing Group (AMG). Based in Wellesley, MA, AMG sponsors, launches, and invests in co-branded and affinity credit card portfolios.

In the late 90s Walter founded S&H Greenpoints after recognizing the opportunity to reinvent the classic American S&H Greenstamps brand into an online consumer loyalty program. He led the acquisition of S&H Greenstamps, recruited the balance of the senior management team and executed a data-driven growth strategy. Over a five year period the company’s revenues grew from $3 million to $55 million and a material exit was achieved in a sale to Pay-by-Touch, Inc .

Prior to S&H, as President and CEO of Biological Technologies International, Inc., a medical device company, he introduced an accelerated sales program to drive predictable growth; a strategy which doubled revenue prior to a sale to Megallan Technologies in 1998.
